The new version of Itama 62 has been unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2016. The legendary Italian brand of open yachts enters a new chapter in its history.
Itama, the Italian open yacht par excellence, the epitome of power and style, is writing an important new page in its fascinating history that will captivate fans of yachting in style. Following in the wake of the Group’s innovative energy at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2016 with a fleet of 22 yachts, Itama has unveiled a new version of a timeless classic.
The Itama 62 with a hull in shades of white and a deck made entirely from teak.
With this unprecedented solution, yacht owners can now customise both the interior décor and personalise their own open yacht by choosing the colour of the hull and the layout of the foredeck to best reflect their needs and taste.
The Itama style remains unique and inimitable: these exquisite yachts are “designed by the sea”, renowned around the world for their Italian design, unmistakable Mediterranean spirit, and sleek and sporty lines.
ON-BOARD LAYOUT AND DÉCOR
The cockpit offers guests maximum space to experience the sea as far as the eye can see. A large sun pad in grey hi-tech fabric sits beside the living and dining area, featuring a C-shaped sofa surrounding an adjustable table opposite a bar on the left.
Forward there is the helm station, sheltered by the wrap-round windscreen - a hallmark feature of the brand ¬- with a co-pilot seat and chaise longue on the starboard side. The control station and dining area are protected by an electro-hydraulic bimini top.
The lower deck décor can be customised in a wide variety of ways. Day and night-time areas are perfectly separated and organised into a large lounge with dinette and galley, a master suite to the bow and two guest cabins to the stern.
Architects and designers from the Ferretti Group Engineering Department have combined the traditional nautical mood, which has made Itama an icon, with a style that matches the latest interior design trends. The spacious lounge combines the lighter tones of the bulkheads and furniture with the teak floor and a dinette featuring a melange grey Casamance sofa and ottoman, paired with various shades of decorative cushions.
The adjustable table lets you turn the dinette into an extra sofa bed. The galley on the port side is enhanced by an anthracite Corian worktop. The three cabins, all with en suite bathrooms, rework the colour combinations of the lounge, pairing white lacquered surfaces with a charcoal carpet and graphite headboards. Grey ZR fabric cushions and Gentili&Mosconi ice white bedspreads complete the décor.
ENGINES AND PERFORMANCE
Engines that guarantee performance in line with Itama’s history have been chosen for the new 62-footer. Two MAN V12 1,400 MPH engines provide a cruising speed of 37 knots and a maximum speed of 40 knots. At top speed, the Itama 62’ has a range of 235 nautical miles, increasing to 255 nautical miles at cruising speed.
